Hussain Sajwani is one of the most successful businessmen globally. He is the founder and chairman of the DAMAC Properties, one of the leading property development companies in the Middle East. After graduating from the University of Washington, Hussain Sajwani began his career in GASCO as a contracts manager. He later ventured into the hospitality industry. He constructed several hotels to the meet the demand of people travelling to emirate for business. Hussain Sajwani’s expertise and experience in management, sales and financing has permitted DAMAC Properties to thrive in the industry.
DAMAC Properties started as a private residential, leisure and commercial developer in 2002. It began in Dubai, Middle East but expanded to other regions including Qatar, UK, Lebanon, Jordan, North Africa and Saudi Arabia. Sajwani was born from an entrepreneurial family in 1952, Dubai, UAE. He pursued a BSc in Industrial Engineering and Economics at the University of Washington. Sajwani family has maintained a close business relationship with the current president of the US. Hussain and DAMAC continue to take part in charity programs. The company donated two million to AED, an initiative working to provide clothing for needy children.
In 2013, DAMAC owner, Hussain Sajwani, partnered with Donald Trump to develop a pair golf course in the region. The result saw the development of the Trump International Golf Course Dubai and The Trump World Golf Course.
