Typically, the OSI Group provides its services to the retail and food industry. Although recognized worldwide, the OSI Group is headquartered in Aurora, Illinois. Since 1909, the OSI Group has reshaped the industry.
Initially, the company began as a meat market in Oak Park, Illinois. It was founded by a man named Otto Kolschowsky two years after he immigrated to America. With the business doing well and gaining traction, the company expanded to other parts of Illinois in 1917. In 1928, the company underwent a name change. It became known as Otto & Sons. Due to the critical acclaim Otto & Sons received, it was only natural for it to continue to expand. By the 1950s, Otto & Sons partnered with McDonald’s and became their leading provider of beef patties. Therefore, the company’s operations continued to increase. In 1975, the company changed its name to OSI Group. As a result of their fortune, the company’s success has not gone unnoticed. For years, the OSI Group has appeared on the Forbes list in reference to the billions of dollars in revenue they earned.
In recent news, they purchased a Tyson Food plant in an economically depressed area of Chicago. Furthermore, they also purchased Baho Foods.
